There is something about a flower—the scent, the blossoms, the buds, the petals—that feels like an invitation to pause and look a little longer. Photographing a flower is a very different experience from landscapes. It creates a quiet moment of focus, slowing everything down. I give one flower, all my attention, the world fades away.
