WILDLIFE

My favorite images are mostly of wildlife—giraffes, zebras, owls, a sea lion or two, or perhaps a bright red crab. Each encounter inspires me. My goal is not only to capture their image, but their home, their spirit, and to share it through my photography. These images highlight not just the animals, but their environment—reflecting their true place on Earth. I’m simply a bystander, grateful to witness them where they live.

As my travels continue I get to see creatures all over the planet. I've experienced birds and camels and elephants in their home. For every new place and animal I see that I have many more to explore. Ever trip provides a new opportunity for me to learn. Some are the same as my own backyard and others are quite different. I'm able to research on the fly and so much to learn. I've come to know details about many tiny creatures, and see moms with their babies. A hippo giving birth was something I never expected.
