Wildlife and Travel Photographer
The world is a magical place. As a travel and wildlife photographer, it's my great joy to capture that magic and share it with you. Whether I'm hiking the Atacama Desert at sunrise, wandering the fields of lavender in Provence, or exploring my own backyard in the Hudson Valley region of New York, I'm always looking for my next great shot. Learning to see the world through my lens has given me a sense of awe for the plants and animals that make up our vast, diverse planet. It's also created an appreciation for the tiny details and passion behind my journey that I try to bring to my images.
Finding Inspiration
My journey with photography spans decades, My teen years were when I first began experimenting with black and white photos that I learned to develop myself in high school. My early subjects were family members and still life. As I grew older and started a family of my own, my children became the stars of my photos and I was often the designated photographer for school plays and recitals. It wasn't until later in life, with my children out of the house and my career in real estate taking off, that my love of photography and my passion for travel were finally able to align.
Frequently stepping out of my comfort zone I have rekindled my adventurous spirit and I've experienced nature in ways that I never anticipated. Visiting magnificent places, feeling the euphoria (and occasional confusion) that comes with experiencing other cultures continues to fuel the spark of what has grown into a lifelong passion of exploration. The rewards have been enormous and the real inspiration for my photography.
Creative Expression
My mission is to explore as many places as possible, capturing unique creatures and rare moments along the way. I like to think of myself as an explorer, always on the lookout for new and exciting experiences along the way. With camera in hand, I'm able to share those moments with you in my images.
My husband, Joe, is my favorite travel partner and artistic companion. In between trips, we spend our time photographing our beautiful local area, which is known for sweeping views of the Hudson River, and world class Autumn foliage. Planning future trips continue to keep me busy. There are so many places to go and so little time. Even so, I have found that researching the trips is almost as much fun as taking them. I'm thrilled that you're here to share my journey with me.
I invite you to explore my gallery of photos and adventures as I continue to travel the world. I hope my images will transport you to another place and leave you in awe.
